How to say 'thank you' in Hindi and Urdu.

Like every language, in Hindi also many ways to say 'thank you', its good to know the all words and to be unique among friends and circle. So let's start enjoy the post.

Dhanyvad or Shukrya

There two the most common and famous phrases are Dhaywad and Shukrya, These both phrases are based on community and culture. if we are in a Urdu community we will see every one is saying Shukriya or if we go to Hindi community we will see many of the are saying Dhanywad. Do not need to be confused what is Urdu and Hindi community. It depands where Hindu and Muslims are in majority. Do not think that the Urdu and the Hindi are religious language of Hindu and Muslims, It is because most of religious books or religous study of muslis is based on Urdu, reason familiar to Arabic and Persian and Hindu's based on Hindi, reason familiar to Sanskirt. thats all.

Urdu spelling for Shukriya شکریہ

Well! the best and unique idea to say Dhanyvad and Shukriya is add bahut-bahut before the Dhanyvad or Shukriya, for example if some one do a favour of you than say 

'aapka bahut-bahut dhanyavad

आपका बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद 

'aapka bahot-bahot shukriya'

آپکا بہت بہت شکریہ

male and female both can say the same, no gender agreement.

Main aapka abhaari hoon or rahunga/rahungi

If we are really greatful of someone so we should say 'main aapka/aapki abhari hoon' or 'rahunga/rahungi'. Where Abhaar is a Hindi word. Also can say the same words whch are related to 

Urdu and also famous, 'main aapka/aapki ahsanmand hoon' means I am really greateful to you or 'main apka ahsanmand rahunga/rahungi' means I will be greatful to you. If you are a male then use ''aapka', 'rahunga' otherwise use 'aapki', 'rahungi'. 

Allah or Bhagvan aapko khush rakhe

If someone do a favour for you and you really want to appriciat to him or her then it is better to make a dua/prayer. there are some ways to make a dua/prayer for the who helped us. by saying 'Allah/bhagwan apko khush rakhe' which mean may Allah/God keep happy you. mostly these words says by someine who really seeking of help of someone and you helped him or her. these words can say to any one even if he or she is from our family or friends circle or any stranger. if you kmow the name of that person then its better to say his/her name after these words for example 'Allah aapko khush rakhe Sharique bhai'. Also can say 'Allah/Bhagvan aapko salamat rakhe' means may Allah/God save you forever.

Response: In response of this dua/prayer we can say 'aapko bhi' means 'to you too' or 'Amiin' means 'may it be accepted'

Allah/Bhagvan aapka bhala kare

This is also unique way to say 'Allah/Bhagwan aapka bhala kare' which mean in english is 'May Allah/God bless you'. It is okay to say these words to olders or youngers. but remember mostly older makes dua. 

Jug-jug jiyo

This phrase is very funny to me acctually what does it mean? simply its mean 'May you live long' which is not funny, where 'Jug' is in an Urdu form of Hindi word 'Yug' which means 'era' or 'a long period'. Mostly olders say to youngers but It become funny to me when we use it in friends or in intimate circle. It is more funny when 'jug jug jiyo' by adding 'mere lal'. In film we can see some saying. so do not hasitate to say your friends 'jugjug jiyo'.

Jazakallah or Jazakallahu khayran 

Jazakkalah or jazakallahu khayran is an Islamic way to say thank you which is most famous in muslims, the meaning of jazakallah is 'May allah reward you' and the meaning of 'jazakkalu kahyran' is May allah reward you the best.

Response: To response for this dua muslims say 'wa iyyakum' which means 'same to you'.

Ayushman bhavo

In Hindu culture mostly elder say 'Ayushman bhavo' which mean 'long live' mostly it say when a younger great his/her elder.
